What are Oklahoma Oversize Permits?
Oklahoma requires oversize permits for vehicles and loads exceeding the standard legal size and weight limits on its roads. These licenses guarantee that huge loads be transported effectively and legally, while also security facility integrity and public safety.

Oklahoma Operating Hours: Travel is permitted from half an hour before sunrise to half an hour after sunset, every day of the week. Continuous transit for overweight load is permitted, but must be requested while getting the permission. Oklahoma Restriction for Travel: Oversized loads are restricted on the interstate system in Cleveland, Oklahoma, and Tulsa counties from 7:00 AM to 9:00 AM and 3:30 PM to 6:30 PM, Monday through Friday. This limitation does not apply to burdens that are just overweight. Travel is also not authorized during big holidays.
Oklahoma Turnpikes: Loads up to 9’6″ wide are allowed without a pass. Loads over 9’6″ and up to 11’6″ wide (up to 13’6″ on the Cherokee Turnpike) require a Pike Pass number. The maximum weight allowed on turnpikes is 108,000 pounds. Weight fees are paid via a state permit, and turnpikes charge no more than the regular per-axle rate.

Lights, Flags, and Signs: Any oversized load that is being pulled by a tractor with a permit must have "Oversize Load" signs placed at the front of the tractor and, if the load or trailer extends farther, at the back. When the load is longer than 59.5 feet, these signs are also needed on two-lane roadways. All large cargo must be marked with flags.
