What are Idaho Oversize Permits?

Idaho requires oversize permits for vehicles and loads exceeding the standard legal size and weight limits on its roads. These licenses guarantee that huge loads be transported effectively and legally, while also security facility integrity and public safety.

– Idaho Single Trip Permits: These permits are issued for one-time travel within the state.

Loads up to 10 feet broad, 110 feet long, or 14 feet 6 inches high may drive 24 hours a day, seven days a week on most routes as long as they are adequately lit according to the permission. Weekend travel is allowed during daytime hours on most routes.

Idaho Limited Travel: During peak hours in Boise, Caldwell, Coeur d’Alene, Idaho Falls, Lewiston, Nampa, Pocatello, Twin Falls, Garden City, and Chubbuck, loads more than 13 feet in width are forbidden. Holiday travel limitations may apply, depending on the load size.

Signs, Flags, and Lights:
